**Job title:** Cybersecurity Architect
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and maintain secure information technology architectures for a large financial institution. Lead security strategy for public cloud, network, application, and AI/ML environments, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (GLBA, SOX, FISMA, ISO, PCI, HIPAA) and internal policies.
**Expectations:**
- Provide high‑quality security solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain rigorous compliance and risk management across all technology initiatives.
- Lead incident response, patching, and disaster recovery planning.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Formulate and recommend security architecture, services, and controls.
2. Ensure security and compliance of cloud IaaS, PaaS, SaaS deployments.
3. Review and enforce network security policies and standards.
4. Implement technical controls for GLBA, SOX, FISMA, ISO, PCI, HIPAA.
5. Coordinate patches, fixes, and disaster recovery procedures.
6. Conduct risk assessments, intrusion detection, cyber‑crime response, and support external audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments.
7. Research emerging security technologies and integrate them into the security roadmap.
8. Identify gaps, prioritize critical functions, and apply secure configuration management.
9. Oversee secure implementation of Generative AI and LLM systems, ensuring data privacy and model integrity.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years IT experience; 7+ years cyber/security experience.
- Expertise in security engineering, network & system security, authentication protocols, cryptography, application security, secure coding, threat modeling.
- Cloud security for AWS and Azure; API security; DevSecOps/secure CI/CD.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Node, Go, PowerShell.
- Knowledge of IDS/IPS, firewall, intrusion detection/prevention, NAC, anti‑malware, VPN, VLAN, VoIP.
- OS: Windows, UNIX, Linux; virtualization; MySQL/MSSQL.
- Identity & access management, encryption technologies, secure database practices.
- Experience securing AI/ML pipelines, model training/deployment, monitoring, and understanding of GenAI/LLM security implications.
- Awareness of quantum computing impact on cryptography.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum one professional security certification: CISSP, GIAC, CCNA Security, or equivalent.
