Job title: Freelance Project Lead (Industrial Automation)
Role Summary:
Coordinate and deliver industrial automation projects for multiple clients as the primary liaison between customers, engineering teams, and service departments. Focus on project management, stakeholder communication, and process improvement, with minimal deep technical execution.
Expectations:
* Deliver projects on time, within scope and quality standards.
* Manage multiple customer accounts and competing priorities.
* Maintain clear, consistent communication across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and administrative project tasks.
* Support continuous improvement of coordination processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
* Coordinate project activities among customers, engineering teams, and service departments.
* Track progress, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
* Lead project follow‑up meetings and status reviews.
* Identify and escalate risks and issues.
* Support resource planning and project prioritization.
* Follow up on maintenance, reliability, and lifecycle service activities.
* Maintain project documentation, reporting, and administrative tasks.
* Drive continuous improvement of project coordination processes.
Required Skills:
* Project coordination or project management experience (mid‑senior level).
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple customers and priorities simultaneously.
* Structured, proactive, and problem‑solving mindset.
* Familiarity with industrial automation environments: control hardware, instrumentation, industrial networks, communication systems, cabling, panels, interfaces, maintenance and reliability concepts, and service/lifecycle management.
* Experience with industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Energy & Utilities.
* Fluency in Dutch and English.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
* Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) is a plus.
