Job Description
Job title: UX/UI Designer Role Summary: Design and enhance user experiences for complex, data‑driven web applications during a 12‑month maternity cover. Collaborate with product, business analysis, development, and client teams to create intuitive user journeys, wireframes, high‑fidelity prototypes, and scalable UI patterns that integrate seamlessly into Agile development cycles. Expectations: - Work autonomously while delivering build‑ready designs. - Present ideas clearly to stakeholders and clients. - Balance user needs, technical feasibility, and commercial priorities. - Adhere to accessibility (WCAG) and responsive design standards. - Meet sprint deadlines and quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities: - Translate business requirements into user journeys and workflows. - Produce wireframes, UI specifications, and high‑fidelity prototypes in Figma. - Manage and evolve the company design system, ensuring consistency across modules. - Conduct usability assessments, identify friction points, and recommend improvements. - Collaborate closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented as intended. - Present design deliverables to stakeholders, gather feedback, and iterate accordingly. - Maintain documentation of design decisions and component libraries. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Figma (components, design systems, prototyping). - Strong UI/UX design expertise, especially for SaaS/B2B web applications. - Knowledge of responsive design principles and WCAG accessibility standards. - Experience designing complex, data‑led interfaces and workflow designs. - Ability to work independently and within Agile teams. - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. - Detail‑focused, organized, and self‑motivated. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Design, Interaction Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in UX/UI design. - No specific certifications required, though familiarity with industry best practices is preferred.
