Job Description
**Job Title:** Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Develop and maintain high‑quality .NET applications for a global travel insurance provider. Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to deliver new features, refactor existing code, and provide Tier II support while mentoring junior team members. **Expectations:** - Write clean, well‑documented, and testable code following established standards. - Prioritize tasks to meet service level agreements and regulatory requirements. - Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and cross‑functional teams. - Continuously improve application performance and reliability. **Key Responsibilities:** - Implement and refactor .NET (C#, Web API) components and SQL Server data access. - Develop unit and integration tests for all code changes. - Provide Tier II support and resolve application issues. - Recommend and implement enhancements and optimizations. - Mentor junior developers and assist in their skill development. - Collaborate with Principal/Senior engineers for design reviews and problem solving. - Report progress and updates to key stakeholders across the organization. **Required Skills:** - Professional experience as a .NET developer. - Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core/Framework, Web API, and Microsoft SQL Server. - Familiarity with source control systems (TFS, Git, etc.). - Full‑stack development experience; front‑end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Blazor are a plus. - Ability to write unit/integration tests. - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to prioritize workload. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) are advantageous but not mandatory.
