Job Title: AI Engineer – Generative AI
Role Summary: Design, develop, and deploy generative AI solutions, primarily large language models (LLMs), using frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). Establish evaluation metrics, integrate diverse data sources within Azure, and maintain models in production with MLOps practices. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support internal stakeholders and advance AI capabilities.
Expectations: Deliver end‑to‑end AI products that meet business use cases, optimize model selection through metrics, and iterate on prompt engineering. Collaborate with cloud and data teams to ingest data from Azure, ERP, PIM, O365, and other sources. Provide clear documentation, participate in internal workshops, and continuously monitor and improve model performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy LLM‑based applications using LangChain, Semantic Kernel, MCP, and RAG techniques.
- Define and monitor evaluation metrics to guide model selection and tuning.
- Build and deploy machine learning or deep learning models for NLP when generative methods fall short.
- Integrate heterogeneous data (Azure, ERP, PIM, O365) in collaboration with cloud engineers.
- Document architecture, processes, and usage best practices.
- Engage internal clients, conduct training sessions, and promote AI literacy across the organization.
Required Skills:
- Strong programming in Python and familiarity with data science stacks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, etc.).
- Proven experience with NLP and generative AI projects, including LLM deployment on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.).
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, and ML workflow pipelines (CI/CD, MLOps).
- Proactive problem‑solving, ability to propose innovative solutions, and independent initiative.
- Fluent in English; German language skills considered an asset.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related engineering discipline.
- Relevant certifications in AI/ML or cloud platforms (Azure AI, AWS AI/ML, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate) are desirable.
