Job Description
**Job Title:** Junior IT Engineer **Role Summary:** Provide first‑line IT support for a user base of ~300 across the UK and Ireland, handling hardware, software, and telecommunications issues, configuring new starter equipment, maintaining asset registers, and documenting solutions for internal use. **Expectations:** - Minimum 6 months of IT support experience - Customer‑facing service orientation - Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office - Basic troubleshooting of laptops, mobile devices, printers, and 3CX Phone System - Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and deliver high‑quality, detail‑oriented work - Passion for continuous learning and technology improvement **Key Responsibilities:** - Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets; Escalate when necessary - Provide remote and on‑site support to end‑users across geographically dispersed locations - Set up and configure laptops, mobiles, and required software for new employees - Maintain and update the IT asset register - Assist in administering the 3CX phone system - Communicate status updates clearly to users and stakeholders - Identify recurring issues, develop guides, and contribute to intranet documentation - Generate basic weekly reports on ticket trends and resolution metrics - Participate in team meetings and support IT projects as required **Required Skills:** - Technical: Windows OS, Office365, hardware troubleshooting, basic networking, 3CX administration - Soft: Excellent written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, analytical thinking, time‑management, customer focus, teamwork, and adaptability **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum of a secondary education or equivalent; degree or higher is a plus - IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSA) are desirable but not mandatory ---
