Job Description

**Job Title:** Server Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, build, and maintain highly available server infrastructures, including virtual, cloud, and physical environments. Lead architecture decisions, performance tuning, capacity planning, and large‑scale migrations. Automate deployments using infrastructure‑as‑code and scripting. **Expactations:** - Deliver end‑to‑end server solutions for enterprise workloads. - Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems. - Provide clear architecture documentation and delivery timelines. - Proactively identify and remediate performance or capacity bottlenecks. - Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to meet service level objectives. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and maintain server environments (Windows, Linux). - Configure high‑availability clusters, load balancers, and storage solutions. - Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM). - Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructures on Azure and AWS. - Optimize server performance through tuning and profiling. - Plan and execute large‑scale migrations and complex architecture changes. - Implement automation and infrastructure‑as‑code using PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, ARM/CloudFormation templates. - Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents in production environments. - Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and runbooks. **Required Skills:** - Deep expertise in Windows Server OS internals. - Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM). - Proficient with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). - Advanced scripting/automation in PowerShell and Bash. - Solid understanding of storage systems and computer architecture. - Performance tuning and capacity planning experience. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP‑DCV) or equivalent.
