Job Description
**Job title** Technical Sales Engineer – Water Analysis Solutions (Male/Female) **Role Summary** Manage and grow the existing portfolio of water‑quality customers, providing technical solutions and service expertise on a field‑based schedule. Operate largely remotely with regular site visits, driving adoption of Hach water‑analysis instruments and services. **Expectations** - Deliver measurable sales growth and meet quarterly targets. - Exhibit a proactive, entrepreneurial commercial mindset. - Maintain a high‑level of professionalism and positive brand representation. - Work effectively in a cross‑functional commercial team and focus on customer success. **Key Responsibilities** - Identify new opportunities within the Rhône‑Alpes‑Sud‑est region; develop action plans for 30‑, 60‑, and 90‑day periods. - Perform 2–3 technical/ commercial site visits weekly to present solutions, conduct demos, and gather customer requirements. - Document all customer interactions and proposals in Salesforce; follow up on leads and support inbound requests. - Collaborate with field, service, and support teams to deliver integrated solutions and resolve customer issues. - Participate in weekly virtual team meetings; report on progress and close‑out activities. - Utilize a company‑owned vehicle, laptop, phone, and tablets to support on‑site activities. **Required Skills** - Strong scientific/technical background (chemistry, hydraulics, biology, electronics, or related). - Prior experience selling water‑quality solutions or service contracts. - Commercial acumen with a competitive drive to exceed targets. - Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient French & English. - Comfortable using CRM (Salesforce) and other sales productivity tools. - Ability to travel frequently within the specified region. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a science or engineering discipline (chemistry, physical measurement, hydraulics, biology, electrotechnics, etc.). - No mandatory certifications, but knowledge of water‑analysis instruments or related technical areas is an advantage.
