Job Title: French Teacher – Professeur de français (FLE) Role Summary: Deliver French language instruction to learners of all levels in a structured classroom setting, creating engaging and interactive lessons that support language proficiency and cultural understanding. Expectations: Consistently provide high‑quality teaching, adapt to diverse learner needs, maintain a positive learning environment, and contribute to the school’s educational standards. Key Responsibilities: - Design, prepare, and deliver lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives. - Teach French language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) using varied methodologies. - Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations. - Provide individualized feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes. - Manage classroom dynamics, ensuring an inclusive and respectful environment. - Maintain accurate student records and documentation. - Collaborate with colleagues to refine instructional strategies and share best practices. Required Skills: - Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to create engaging, interactive lesson plans. - Experience teaching diverse student groups. - Proficiency with classroom management techniques. - Familiarity with language teaching methodologies and assessment tools. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in French language education, Linguistics, or related field. - Valid teaching certification or equivalence in French as a foreign language (FLE). - Completion of a teacher training program or pedagogical coursework.
