**Job Title:** Critical Infrastructure Director
**Role Summary:** Lead end‑to‑end utility coordination for data center projects, ensuring timely, cost‑effective development and stakeholder alignment.
**Expectations:**
- Accelerate time‑to‑market for utilities in new data center sites.
- Deliver projects within budget and schedule.
- Maintain compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Direct master planning, entitlement, and permitting of utility infrastructure.
- Act as primary liaison with utility providers, general contractors, and design teams.
- Assess existing utility assets; scope upgrades or enhancements with partners.
- Prepare load requests, technical specs, and project schedules for utilities.
- Coordinate creation and review of site plans, engineering reports, and related documentation.
- Oversee full utility development lifecycle from planning through construction completion.
- Enforce internal engineering standards and construction protocols.
- Research and interpret utility regulations, permitting processes, and entitlement paths.
- Draft and issue RFPs for design services; evaluate proposals and recommend awards.
- Develop, monitor, and report on project budgets; negotiate contracts with consultants, vendors, and service providers.
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to set and maintain project milestones.
- Build and sustain relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, municipalities, and community stakeholders.
- Represent the organization in communications with adjacent property owners and neighborhood groups.
- Generate executive‑level status, risk, and performance reports.
- Lead project teams, ensuring accountability and quality outcomes.
- Facilitate Owner‑Architect‑Contractor (OAC) and other project meetings; track follow‑ups.
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and scalability.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years of utility infrastructure project management.
- Proficient in engaging utility providers, energy companies, and multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Strong technical understanding of utility systems and project methodologies.
- Advanced problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and detail orientation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel as required.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in complex commercial development (data‑center‑specific experience optional).
