Job title: General Manager – Canada
Role Summary:
Senior executive responsible for driving strategic growth, financial performance, and operational excellence across retail, e‑commerce, wholesale, and distribution channels in Canada. Oversees national strategy, P&L, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder relationships while representing the brand to government, partners, and customers.
Expectations:
• Lead the Canadian market to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets aligned with global objectives.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing regional team that embodies brand values and fosters an inclusive culture.
• Ensure full compliance with Canadian regulations, labor laws, and safety standards.
• Manage cross‑functional initiatives in partnership with North American and global teams, delivering consistent brand standards nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership – develop and execute the Canadian business strategy, identify market opportunities and threats, plan expansion, partnerships, and new initiatives.
2. Financial & Operational Management – own full P&L, set annual budgets, forecasts, and performance targets; drive cost optimization, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth across supply chain, logistics, sales operations, and service delivery.
3. People & Culture Leadership – recruit, mentor, and coach a national team; promote accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and compliance with labor and health/safety regulations.
4. Customer & Partner Engagement – strengthen relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry associations; represent the brand in government and community forums.
5. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight – maintain adherence to Canadian regulatory requirements (privacy, employment, environmental, industry‑specific); manage risk, governance, and internal controls.
Required Skills:
• Proven P&L ownership and business scaling expertise.
• Strategic thinking with hands‑on execution capability.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Deep understanding of Canadian business landscape and regional market nuances.
• Ability to collaborate within a global/North American corporate structure.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French preferred.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive senior management experience in multi‑region operations; 5+ years in luxury retail with multi‑site, P&L, inventory, and customer service responsibilities highly preferred.
