Service interarmées, le SID construit, entretient et administre l’ensemble du domaine immobilier du ministère. Il assure le soutien et l’adaptation des infrastructures des armées, directions et services en métropole, en Outre-mer et à l’étranger, ainsi que le soutien au stationnement des Forces en opérations extérieures (OPEX).

Rattaché au Secrétariat général pour l’administration (SGA), il est le référent ministériel en matière de construction, de maintenance immobilière, de maîtrise de l’énergie non stockée et de gestion administrative et technique du patrimoine.

**Job Title** Military Officer – Maintenance Operations Section Lead (F/M) **Role Summary** A senior military engineer responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all maintenance and repair functions for the French Ministry of Armed Forces’ real estate assets. Manages the annual workload plan, monitors legal and financial commitments, supervises three regional teams and a dedicated payroll unit, and coordinates maintenance contracts. Provides technical guidance to support units, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhances the overall maintenance capability within the defense infrastructure sector. **Expectations** - Fulfill a minimum five‑year military tenure under the Sous Contrat Ingénieur Militaire de l’Infrastructure (OSC‑IMI) framework. - Demonstrate advanced expertise in civil engineering, construction, or facility management. - Exhibit strong leadership, decision‑making, and administrative competencies. - Maintain high physical fitness and readiness for military duties. - Adhere to French nationality requirement and complete National Service obligations. **Key Responsibilities** - Plan and execute the annual workload schedule (Plan de charge annuel) and conduct the annual coordination meeting (RCA). - Monitor legal, financial, and service commitments; update engagement records. - Conduct training and support for technicians and section controllers; manage personnel objectives, evaluations, and mission assignments. - Pilot the maintenance, repair, and small‑work activities across all support units, ensuring operational readiness and technical standby. - Supervise three regional antennas (Clermont‑Ferrand, Issoire, Moulins) and the Peter‑Sur‑Haute payroll office under the USID authority. - Coordinate with the cell leader on maintenance contract procurement, oversee execution, and ensure accurate contract drafting. - Advise and assist local infrastructure stakeholders; provide legal monitoring and risk management. - Maintain continuous professional development in maintenance methods and management practices. **Required Skills** - Advanced project management and planning in construction/maintenance contexts. - Technical proficiency in civil engineering, building systems, and facility operations. - Strong leadership, training, and team‑coordination abilities. - Excellent organizational, documentation, and budget‑tracking skills. - Capability to interpret and manage legal/contractual frameworks. - Proficiency in French (mandatory) and English preferred. - Physical fitness suitable for military service. **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum Master’s level (Bac+5) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent. - Prior experience in project management or maintenance within an institutional or residential asset setting. - Military eligibility: French nationality, satisfactory physical condition, completed obligations of National Service.
