Job Title: Head of GTM Strategy (Contract)
Role Summary: Lead short, high‑intensity go‑to‑market (GTM) strategy sprints for early‑stage startups. Drive discovery, analysis, and creation of concise, actionable strategy decks. Inform and shape AI‑powered tools that scale the sprint methodology. Deliver clear positioning, ICP, whitespace, and validation plans to enable disciplined, evidence‑based decisions.
Expectations:
- 8–12 years of growth or marketing strategy, or consulting experience focused on early‑stage ventures.
- Proven track record of crafting or refining GTM/marketing strategy for startups.
- Ability to work autonomously, make rapid decisions with incomplete data, and toggle between leadership and execution.
- Demonstrated capability in storytelling and executive deck creation.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, resourceful, and comfortable delivering candid feedback to founders.
- Awareness of AI and automation trends in consulting is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic research and hypothesis discovery with founders.
- Translate business signals into structured GTM problem statements.
- Build whitespace maps, ICP segmentation, value propositions, positioning, early pricing logic, and PMF criteria.
- Synthesize cultural, category, customer, and company insights into coherent narratives.
- Deliver high‑quality strategy decks for executives and investors, including frameworks, validation roadmaps, and metrics.
- Pressure‑test founder assumptions, coach teams toward disciplined decisions, present recommendations with precision.
- Identify repetitive analytical tasks for automation; provide strategic logic for AI‑tool development.
- Test, refine, and document AI tool functionality to ensure alignment with GTM best practices.
Required Skills:

- Structured thinking; rapid synthesis of complex information.
- Exceptional strategy deck writing and storytelling.
- Strong communication, presentation, and coach‑like engagement with founders.
- Entrepreneurial agility; ability to thrive in fast‑moving, resource‑constrained environments.
- Familiarity with consulting frameworks (e.g., MECE, 5C, Porter’s Five Forces).
- Preference for experience at top consulting firms (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, etc.).
- Interest or experience in AI/automation within strategy consulting.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related discipline (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
- Any relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Management Consultant, Six Sigma) are advantageous.
