Job Description: Job title: Back End Developer Role Summary: Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable web applications for healthcare imaging, focusing on backend logic, data processing, and service integration. Leverage Python and relational databases to build robust, high‑performance REST/RPC services, supporting the analysis of whole slide images (WSI). Contribute to cross‑functional teams, ensuring code quality, performance, and documentation standards. Expactations: - Deliver reliable, secure backend solutions within defined timelines. - Continuously upgrade technical skills and adopt emerging technologies. - Effectively communicate status, risks, and resolution plans in clear English. - Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into functional features. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze, troubleshoot, debug and optimize complex distributed systems. - Gather feature requirements, collaborate with product, design, and system administration teams. - Review, test, maintain existing functions, and develop new capabilities. - Document APIs, architecture decisions, and operational procedures. - Tune performance, address scalability issues, and resolve bug reports. - Provide training and support to internal teams. Required Skills: - ≥3 years experience as a backend or full‑stack developer. - Proficiency in Python for web development. - Hands‑on with Postgres or MySQL relational databases. - Design and implementation of REST or RPC‑based web services. - Deployment experience in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, teamwork, and time‑management abilities. - Familiarity with source‑control, unit testing, bug tracking, and continuous integration pipelines. - Excellent written and verbal English communication. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - No specific certifications required; cloud or containerization certifications are a plus.
