Job Description

Job Title: WordPress Web Developer – Internship/Apprenticeship Role Summary: Support a senior developer within a digital agency to design, develop, deploy, and maintain WordPress websites and custom plugins. Integrate design prototypes, ensure responsive UX/UI, optimize performance, and provide technical support to clients. Expectations: - Work under guidance of a senior developer and digital acquisition team. - Deliver high‑quality sites that meet business goals (SEO, lead capture, tracking). - Progress toward independent contribution while collaborating with a team. Key Responsibilities: - Create and integrate WordPress sites and custom extensions. - Develop custom themes, plugins, and animations. - Convert design mock‑ups from Figma or Adobe into responsive code. - Conduct on‑site deployment, testing, and debugging. - Resolve bugs, plugin/theme conflicts, and perform routine maintenance. - Apply updates, security hardening, and performance tuning. - Provide technical support to clients when required. Required Skills: - Proficient in WordPress development (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript). - Comfortable with responsive design and UX/UI best practices. - Strong debugging logic and attention to detail. - Familiarity with Figma or Adobe design tools. - Knowledge of SEO fundamentals, tracking, and analytics. - Ability to learn quickly and work autonomously in a team. Required Education & Certifications: - Studying or holding a Bachelor's degree (Bac+2 to Bac+5) in Web Development, Computer Science, or related field. - Portfolio or projects demonstrating WordPress experience (internship, freelance, personal).
