Job Description
Job Title: Software Engineer Intern Role Summary: Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining automotive diagnostics software. Contribute to system reliability, performance, and security improvements while gaining experience in modern development practices and cross‑functional collaboration. Expectations: Deliver high‑quality code and documentation under senior guidance; proactively engage in code reviews and bug troubleshooting; learn new technologies quickly; communicate effectively with engineering, product, QA, and operations teams. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, and maintain diagnostics applications. - Implement new features and resolve existing software issues. - Participate in code reviews and adopt best practices. - Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code. - Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance. - Create and execute unit tests to ensure reliability. - Contribute to technical documentation for internal processes, features, and tools. - Collaborate with product, QA, and operations to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Required Skills: - Programming in .NET C#, C++, Java, or similar. - Basic database knowledge (SQL, NoSQL) and performance tuning. - Unit testing and debugging proficiency. - Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and learning agility. - Effective written and verbal communication; teamwork orientation. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrolment in a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. No mandatory certifications required.
