Job Description
**Job Title** Software Engineer, Infrastructure (All Levels) **Role Summary** Design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and compliant cloud infrastructure for AI‑driven radiology products. Drive the technical direction of Platform Engineering, ensuring reliability, observability, and developer experience across AWS, Kubernetes, serverless, and other cloud services. **Expectations** - Own end‑to‑end infrastructure solutions that support product growth and safety standards. - Collaboratively define strategy with product, data, ML, and security teams. - Mentor junior engineers, set architectural standards, and lead incident post‑mortems. - Maintain high service availability, meet SLOs, and continuously improve operational excellence. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect and evolve cloud infrastructure (AWS primary): EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc. - Manage container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless workloads. - Define and enforce SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, and reliability metrics for core platform services. - Own observability strategy—logging, metrics, tracing; design dashboards and alerts. - Conduct blameless post‑incident reviews and implement systemic improvements. - Secure networking, identity, and access across environments; enforce HIPAA/compliance. - Improve developer experience by optimizing CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and feedback loops. - Mentor and review design documentation; elevate code quality and operational standards. - Partner with security teams to meet regulatory requirements. **Required Skills** - 4+ years in infrastructure or platform engineering in cloud‑native environments. - Deep experience with AWS (preferred) and/or GCP, covering networking, compute, storage, and managed services. - Strong proficiency in Python (or equivalent) for infrastructure automation. - Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration at scale. - Hands‑on with Infrastructure as Code—Terraform preferred, Pulumi or similar. - Proven track record building tooling, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and observability solutions. - Familiarity with HIPAA / healthcare security and compliance. - Excellent communication, mentorship, and stakeholder collaboration skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Optional certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Terraform Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) – preferred.
