Job Description
**Job Title** Junior Merchandiser **Role Summary** Support the senior merchandising team for the Ladies division in a high‑volume retail environment. Responsible for trading, forecasting, and operational execution to maximise profit and stock efficiency. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate trading analyses and forecasts. - Collaborate closely with the buying and allocation teams. - Present findings and trading plans to senior leadership. - Contribute to a positive, results‑driven team culture. **Key Responsibilities** - Analyse current trading patterns and identify profit‑driving opportunities. - Collate and manage weekly sales packs. - Forecast sales and stock levels to hit planned margins. - Manage WSSI (Wholesale Stock Selling Information) and OTB (Open To Buy). - Review past seasons to capture lessons and missed opportunities. - Work with a Junior Buyer to plan future ranges, options, and optimal buy quantities. - Present to directors in planning and trading meetings. - Maximise profit through promotions, repeats, re‑pricing, cancellations, and delivery adjustments. - Manage intake and critical path alongside the buying team. - Coach and manage an allocator. **Required Skills** - Strong understanding of WSSI management and forecasting. - Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis). - Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities. - Superior communication and presentation skills. - Effective time‑management and team‑awareness. - High commercial awareness of fashion trends, competition, and market dynamics. - Enthusiastic, team‑motivating attitude and passion for the brand and customer experience. **Required Education & Certifications** - No specific education requirement stated; a degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field is preferred but not mandatory. - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Fashion Management, Merchandising) welcomed.
