Job Title: General Manager Role Summary: Senior executive responsible for full ownership of a high‑profile food & beverage venue’s commercial performance, strategy, operations, and people. Oversees P&L, drives revenue growth, maintains guest experience excellence, and leads a senior management team. Expectations: Deliver on revenue, margin, and cost targets; launch and grow the new venue; build an autonomous, high‑performing leadership team; embed a culture of accountability and commercial focus; achieve market leadership within the first 12 months. Key Responsibilities: - Full P&L ownership: manage revenue, margins, labour, stock, and operating costs. - Set, own, and deliver revenue, margin and cost targets; lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. - Identify and launch new revenue opportunities (events, programming, partnerships). - Own and execute site strategy aligned to corporate vision and local market dynamics. - Provide decisive operational, commercial, and people decisions as final authority on site. - Ensure consistent, high‑quality guest experience across all departments. - Maintain compliance with licensing, food safety, health & safety, and legal regulations. - Build, lead, and retain a senior management team; set clear expectations and hold leaders accountable. - Plan workforce, optimise rosters, and manage labour strategy within budgetary constraints. - Foster a positive, inclusive, high‑energy workplace culture; develop internal talent and address performance issues. Required Skills: - Minimum 5 years senior venue management experience in hospitality, F&B or event‑led settings. - At least 3 years bar operations experience. - Proven full‑budget P&L accountability. - Strong commercial acumen and confident senior decision‑making. - Natural leadership with presence, credibility, and influence at all levels. - Personal Licence holder with licensing knowledge. - Autonomous, self‑motivated, able to operate as the sole senior leader on site. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Personal Licence (UK) and knowledge of licensing regulations.
