Job Description
**Job Title** Contract Program Manager – 18‑Month Term **Role Summary** Oversee day‑to‑day operations of one or more residential programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, quality assurance measures, and the organization’s mission. Manage staff, budgeting, and program outcomes while fostering a person‑centered, inclusive environment. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality residential services across assigned programs. - Maintain regulatory compliance (O. Reg. 299/10, MCCSS service expectations, health & safety). - Lead, coach, and evaluate a team of support workers (4–40 staff). - Manage program budgets, Passport forecasting, and financial accountability. - Participate in an on‑call rotation and respond to emergency situations. **Key Responsibilities** - Select, train, motivate, and supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). - Mentor staff on Person‑Centered Plans, Behavior Support Plans, and required documentation. - Ensure accurate, timely completion of case notes, logs, incident reports, and medication charts. - Schedule staff, oversee daily operations, and manage budgets per MCCSS guidelines. - Develop individualized support plans aligned with participants’ goals and Journey to Belonging. - Monitor, evaluate, and address staff performance, discipline, and training needs. - Resolve emergencies with professionalism, compassion, and sound judgment. - Participate in on‑call rotation for urgent after‑hours issues. - Perform additional duties as assigned. **Required Skills** - Leadership and team coaching. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution abilities. - Proficiency in service planning, budgeting, and financial accountability. - Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements. - Ability to make sound decisions under pressure. - Excellent communication and documentation skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Diploma or degree in Social Services, Human Services, Psychology, or related field. - Minimum 3 years management experience in residential or developmental services. - Valid G Driver’s License with reliable vehicle. - Preferred certifications: NVCI/Safe Management, First Aid/CPR, medication administration. - Experience in a unionized environment and understanding of labor relations.
