Job Description

**Job Title:** DevOps Engineer **Role Summary:** Responsible for designing, deploying, and operating secure AWS GovCloud infrastructure in a classified environment. Utilizes Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), GitOps (ArgoCD, Helm), and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) to ensure reliable, automated delivery of applications while adhering to DoD security and compliance standards. **Expectations:** - Maintain high‑availability cloud services across multiple AWS accounts. - Implement and enforce security best practices and DevSecOps controls. - Collaborate closely with development teams to streamline releases. - Contribute to greenfield projects and architectural decisions. - Operate within a classified setting, including occasional on‑site duties in secure facilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage AWS GovCloud resources using Terraform and AWS best practices. - Administer and scale EKS clusters; deploy applications via ArgoCD and Helm. - Own and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery. - Design, implement, and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki). - Develop automation scripts in Python and Bash; support PostgreSQL databases. - Apply DevSecOps methodologies to meet government compliance frameworks. **Required Skills:** - Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph eligibility. - 2‑4 years experience in SRE, Platform, or Cloud engineering focused on security. - Strong knowledge of AWS GovCloud services. - Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD. - Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting. - Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki). - Understanding of government security/compliance requirements and DevSecOps practices. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field *or* equivalent professional experience. - Preferred: AWS GovCloud certification.
