Job Description
Job title: Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst Role Summary: The Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst partners with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to cybersecurity frameworks and regulations (HIPAA, GLBA, NIST 800‑171, CMMC, CIS Controls). The role focuses on identifying compliance gaps, preparing documentation, conducting internal audits, and facilitating training, all while maintaining high standards of detail and communication. Expectations: * Local candidate required (Southern California). * Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft clear reports and explain complex standards. * Exceptional attention to detail—parsing policy, detecting errors, and ensuring accuracy. * Proactive learner who stays current on evolving compliance frameworks and industry trends. * Comfortable working in an office environment with frequent client visits; must possess valid driver’s license. Key Responsibilities: 1. **Client Compliance Management** – Assess client systems and processes against applicable standards; identify gaps; recommend remediation. 2. **Vendor Risk & Questionnaire Support** – Assist with vendor security assessments and questionnaire completion. 3. **Compliance Training & Awareness** – Support client security awareness programs. 4. **Internal Compliance Oversight** – Maintain internal policies, conduct audits, and ensure timely reviews. 5. **Documentation & Reporting** – Draft, update, and manage internal and client‑facing policies; prepare compliance reports for leadership and regulatory filings. 6. **Metrics & Monitoring** – Track compliance status in internal/external systems; use reporting tools to monitor metrics. 7. **Vulnerability Management Support** – Document gaps and track remediation progress. 8. **Cyber Insurance Assistance** – Aid in gathering information for cyber insurance applications. Required Skills: * Excellent written and oral communication. * Detail‑oriented documentation and proofreading. * Knowledge of at least one cybersecurity framework (HIPAA, GLBA, NIST 800‑171, CMMC, CIS Controls). * Ability to conduct internal audits and interpret compliance requirements. * Proficiency with reporting tools and compliance management platforms. * Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple client requests. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). * Certifications are optional but a plus: Security+ (CompTIA), CCP (CMMC Certified Professional), CISA, CC (ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity), ISC2 CGRC, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor.
