Job Description
Job title: FP&A Consultant, Associate Director level Role Summary: Lead and optimize financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for a high-growth clinical‑stage biotech company. Provide strategic financial insights, build advanced models and dashboards, and partner with cross‑functional leaders to drive decision‑making and support executive management. Expectations: Deliver high‑quality financial reporting and analysis within a 12‑month consulting engagement. Demonstrate strong executive presence, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to juggle shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Manage end‑to‑end budgeting, forecasting, and varianc­er analysis for the FP&A function. - Build, validate, and maintain complex financial models and real‑time dashboards for business opportunity assessment. - Partner with Operations, R&D, Regulatory, Quality and other leaders to understand drivers, KPIs, and market dynamics. - Prepare and present periodic financial reports and key insights to senior leadership and stakeholders. - Oversee month‑end and quarter‑end closing activities, including R&D/clinical trial accruals and variance analysis. - Ensure SOX documentation integrity and support audit requests for the assigned areas. Required Skills: - 7+ years of FP&A experience, including ≥3 years in a fast‑growth clinical/late‑stage biotech environment. - Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and business intelligence tools. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. - Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive financial initiatives. - Self‑motivated, adaptive, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent tasks. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred). - CPA, CMA, or equivalent CPAs or professional certifications are an advantage.
