Job Description
Job Title: HSE Engineer Role Summary: Develop, implement, and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and normative requirements while promoting best safety practices across teams. Expectations: - Demonstrate proactive HSE management, driving continuous improvement of workplace conditions and environmental impacts. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant HSE regulations and industry standards. - Effectively train, influence, and support colleagues to adopt safe work practices. Key Responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and update HSE policies and procedures. - Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE regulations and standards. - Conduct HSE training and awareness sessions for staff. - Identify, assess, and analyze risks to define and implement appropriate preventive actions. - Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance working conditions and reduce environmental impacts. - Perform field audits and HSE inspections. - Maintain an active regulatory watch on health, safety, and environmental matters. Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industry best practices. - Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop preventive measures. - Excellent training and communication skills. - Proficiency in preparing audit reports and HSE documentation. - Problem‑solving and analytical abilities. - Team player with the capacity to influence and motivate others. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field. - HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH International General Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent) preferred.
