Job Description
Job title: PHY Software Engineer Intern (12 Month Internship) Role Summary: Intern contributes to the design, implementation, testing, and validation of real‑time physical layer (PHY) software for 4G/5G products. Works on high‑performance CPU platforms (Intel/AMD/ARM) and collaborates with cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver reliable wireless algorithm code. Expactations: - Deliver functional PHY modules that meet performance and timing targets. - Write and maintain production‑ready C/C++ code within an Agile Scrum framework. - Participate in code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, optimize, and integrate C/C++ PHY modules for Linux on multi‑core CPUs. - Validate PHY features on server hardware and AWS cloud environments. - Build and enhance debugging and testing tools for release packages. - Employ mobile devices, emulators, and RF test equipment to verify algorithm behavior. - Collaborate with QA, firmware, and hardware teams to ensure system readiness. Required Skills: - Strong programming in C and/or C++. - Proficiency in Python scripting. - Familiarity with SIMD, modern CPU instruction sets, and DSP concepts. - Experience using Git, JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Docker/Kubernetes. - Ability to work in Agile (Scrum/SAFe) environments and handle iterative development cycles.
