**Job Title** Electrical Build Support Engineer (Contract) **Role Summary** Support prototype and production builds by installing, routing, and troubleshooting vehicle electrical harnesses. Work closely with design, test, and manufacturing teams to meet engineering, safety, and build‑quality standards while providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement. **Expactations** - Deliver accurate electrical harness builds that comply with design specifications and safety regulations. - Resolve build issues efficiently to maintain schedule and quality targets. - Document changes, lessons learned, and test outcomes in a structured manner. - Contribute to validation activities leading to Design Verification Plan (DVP) milestones and production release. - Engage in continuous improvement of build processes, harness layout, and component accessibility. **Key Responsibilities** - Install, route, and test electrical harnesses during prototype and production builds. - Verify compliance with build instructions, design specifications, and safety standards. - Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues with schematics, connectors, and diagnostic tools. - Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing teams to resolve build problems quickly. - Record build status, component changes, and test outcomes accurately. - Provide structured feedback to design engineers for future improvements. - Support validation activities aligned with DVP milestones and production release. - Contribute to continuous improvement of build processes and harness layout. **Required Skills** - Knowledge of electrical schematics, connectors, and diagnostic tools. - Practical experience with vehicle electrical systems, wiring harnesses, or prototype builds. - Methodical troubleshooting approach and strong attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Understanding of build quality and safety standards. - Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. **Required Education & Certifications** - Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical, Automotive, or Mechanical Engineering. - Professional certifications relevant to electrical or automotive engineering preferred (e.g., IPC, SAE).
