Job Description
**Job title**: Electrical Engineer **Role Summary**: Electrical Engineers on a cruise vessel oversee corrective and preventive maintenance of electrical systems across the main plant and hotel services. They work on a rotational “on‑call” basis, ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and supporting a multicultural crew environment. **Expectations**: - Maintain continuous shipboard electrical operations with minimal downtime. - Lead and mentor junior team members. - Adhere to safety, emergency, and ship assembly plan protocols. **Key Responsibilities**: - Execute monthly maintenance routines and record all work in the preventive maintenance system. - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment in the main plant and hotel areas. - Install and service wiring and related equipment throughout the vessel. - Participate in an on‑call rotating schedule and respond to emergency duty calls. - Fulfill safety management duties and uphold safety policies in all areas under responsibility. **Required Skills**: - Strong troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving abilities. - Leadership and guidance capabilities for team members. - Fluent written and spoken English. - Diligent compliance with safety regulations and emergency procedures. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Valid Electrical Technician Officer (ETO) Certificate of Competency (CoC). - Minimum 2 years shipboard experience as an Electro‑technical Officer. ---
