Job Description
**Job Title** Data Science Intern **Role Summary** This six‑month internship supports pharmaceutical data initiatives by managing data quality, performing statistical analyses, and developing automated reporting and dashboard solutions. The intern works under the AP Cell Manager, contributing to cross‑functional projects such as data lake structuring and Python‑based automation. **Expectations** - Acquire, deepen, and consolidate data‑science competencies through hands‑on experience on pharmaceutical projects. - Ensure high‑quality data capture, cleaning, validation, and documentation for early‑access medication programs. - Deliver actionable insights and automated reports to support operational teams. **Key Responsibilities** - Maintain and enrich the database of early‑access medication programs. - Collect, clean, and validate data; manage data entry controls and follow‑up. - Review and update data documentation (DMP/DVP, data review plans, statistical plans). - Assist in statistical analyses of program data. - Process hospital requests and track project registries. - Design and publish dynamic dashboards using Power BI or Tableau. - Automate monthly reporting pipelines and establish operational indicators. - Contribute to the design and implementation of an internal data lake (data architecture, control rules, automated ingestion). - Develop and deploy Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks such as Excel manipulation, email notifications, data extractions, and quality checks. **Required Skills** - Data management and data quality assurance. - Statistical analysis (basic descriptive and inferential methods). - Advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation). - Experience with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization. - Python programming for automation (pandas, openpyxl, SMTP libraries). - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English (minimum B2). **Required Education & Certifications** - Current student pursuing a Bachelor, Master 1, or Master 2 in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. - No mandatory professional certifications required, though knowledge of healthcare or pharmaceutical data is a plus.
