**Job Title** Integration Engineer - Contract **Role Summary** Contract Integration Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions for digital health platforms. Works with UK healthcare clients, leading technical integration initiatives, ensuring quality, and serving as a customer-facing specialist. **Expectations** - Design and implement integration solutions for new and existing deployments. - Provide subject‑matter expertise on integration tools and best practices. - Maintain thorough technical documentation for customer‑specific integrations. - Perform code reviews, manage assets, and approve changes to uphold quality. - Diagnose and resolve complex live‑environment integration issues. - Act as a trusted technical specialist to clients. - Mentor teammates and share knowledge to elevate team skill levels. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Lead architecture, design, and coding of integration modules (HL7 v2, FHIR, DICOM, etc.). 2. Configure and script within integration engines (e.g., Mirth Connect). 3. Manage version control, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes. 4. Document integration flows, error handling, and secure data transport. 5. Troubleshoot production incidents, applying root‑cause analysis. 6. Collaborate with Agile teams, participate in sprint planning and retrospectives. 7. Communicate technical status and risks to client stakeholders. **Required Skills** - Proven delivery of healthcare integration projects in the UK. - Deep knowledge of HL7 v2 messaging format and healthcare data standards. - Hands‑on experience scripting in Mirth Connect or equivalent integration engines. - Familiarity with SQL databases, Linux (RedHat), and messaging queues (MQ, RabbitMQ). - Understanding of cloud fundamentals (AWS, Azure) and security principles. - Experience with DICOM, FHIR, or similar clinical data protocols preferred. - Comfortable with Agile delivery and DevOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing). - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Certifications in HL7, FHIR, or integration technologies are an advantage.
