Job Title: Stage Door Casual Role Summary: Acts as the first point of contact for guests at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, providing a welcoming environment, assisting with ticket sales and venue entry, and ensuring smooth operations during live events. Expectations: - Deliver exceptional hospitality and service standards in a fast‑paced entertainment setting. - Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. - Adhere to all safety, health, and security protocols required for live audience venues. - Support ticketing and admission systems, accurately handling cash and online payments. - Communicate event details and updates to guests and internal teams promptly. Key Responsibilities: - Greet and assist patrons, providing information on seating, refreshments, and venue facilities. - Process ticket sales, issue admissions, and verify ticket validity at the entrance. - Manage the reception area, keeping it organized, tidy, and fully stocked with necessary supplies. - Operate point‑of‑sale equipment, handle cash, credit card, and electronic payment transactions accurately. - Allocate seating assignments, manage queue flow, and ensure compliance with capacity limits. - Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues or complaints, and liaise with management for escalated matters. - Coordinate with backstage and production teams to facilitate set‑up, breaks, and guest access. - Monitor venue exits, maintain safety signage, and ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations. - Perform opening and closing tasks, including cashier reconciliation and equipment shutdown. Required Skills: - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Customer‑service orientation and problem‑solving ability. - Proficiency with POS systems and ticketing software. - Basic math and cash handling accuracy. - Ability to remain composed under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Team‑player attitude with excellent interpersonal skills. - Adaptability to unpredictable schedules and changing event needs. Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum of a secondary school qualification or equivalent. - Prior hospitality, retail or ticketing experience preferred. - No specific certifications required, but completion of a basic customer‑service or POS training program is an advantage.
