**Job Title:** Technical Analyst, Valuations & Analytics
**Role Summary:**
Develop, maintain, and optimize financial models, databases, and reporting tools for real‑estate valuation and analytics across a global portfolio. Collaborate with IT, finance, and operations teams to support annual valuation updates, data integration, and system enhancements.
**Expectations:**
- 1–4 years of relevant work experience after an undergraduate or advanced degree.
- Proven programming knowledge (post‑secondary level) with hands‑on experience in SQL, VBA, and Excel.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project‑management skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, build, and maintain VBA/SQL‑based reports, templates, and tools for valuation models.
- Develop and maintain an internal database tracking historical and forecast property performance.
- Coordinate with IT and third‑party vendors on software sourcing, development, and upgrades.
- Lead system testing and implementation of annual upgrades and process improvements.
- Conduct macro‑market research and generate market trend analyses.
- Build and update Argus Enterprise valuation models to reflect portfolio changes.
- Gather and verify data from accountants, asset managers, leasing, and property management teams.
- Prepare annual written valuation reports.
**Required Skills:**
- SQL, VBA (or equivalent), Microsoft Excel (financial modeling).
- Familiarity with data visualization/B.I. tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience or strong interest in real‑estate or investment finance.
- Knowledge of Argus Enterprise is an asset.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong problem‑solving, interpersonal, and project‑management abilities.
- Comfortable working under pressure with multiple competing deadlines.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Completion of computer‑programming coursework at post‑secondary level.
