Research Engineer / Software Engineer – Platform Infrastructure
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and operate scalable, distributed platform infrastructure that powers AI‑driven security analytics. Deploy across multi‑cloud (AWS, Azure, OCI) and hybrid environments, ensuring high performance, resilience, and rapid iteration for a high‑velocity product team.
**Expectations**
- Own end‑to‑end infrastructure projects from concept through production support.
- Collaborate closely with AI, security, and developer‑tooling teams to align architecture with product goals.
- Actively troubleshoot, optimize, and evolve infrastructure in an agile, startup‑style setting.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and implement distributed systems that scale securely across multiple clouds.
- Apply infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CDK) to create repeatable, version‑controlled deployments.
- Tune compute, storage, networking, and observability services for performance and reliability.
- Build and maintain event‑driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, async pipelines).
- Design disaster‑recovery, business‑continuity, and resilience strategies to guarantee uptime.
- Develop core platform services in TypeScript, Kotlin, Go, and contribute to supporting multi‑environment deployments (SaaS, on‑prem).
- Enhance observability with logs, metrics, tracing, and automated alerts.
- Mentor peers on best practices for cloud infrastructure and performance engineering.
**Required Skills**
- Proven experience building and operating large‑scale distributed systems in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI).
- Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, CDK) and a holistic view of infra as part of engineering.
- Strong performance tuning across compute, storage, networking, and database layers.
- Expertise in cloud services, observability, and resilience engineering.
- Solid communication, problem‑solving, and adaptability in ambiguous, fast‑paced settings.
- Willingness to rapidly learn new languages (TypeScript, Kotlin, Go) and technologies.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent) are desirable but not mandatory.
