Job Description: **Job Title:** Shopify Developer (Full‑Stack) **Role Summary:** Provide ongoing evolutionary maintenance, technical support, and custom feature development for Shopify and Shopify Plus e‑commerce sites. Collaborate with clients and cross‑functional teams to optimize performance, resolve bugs, and enhance user experience. **Expectations:** - Work independently on support tickets and feature requests - Deliver high‑quality code and documentation for both front‑end and back‑end needs - Communicate clearly with non‑technical clients, translating business requirements into technical solutions - Maintain rigorous version control, testing, and deployment practices **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Site Maintenance & Technical Support** – Handle ongoing updates, bug fixes, and configuration changes in the Shopify back‑office. 2. **Custom Feature Development** – Create and extend front‑end (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back‑end (Node.js, PHP) functionalities, including API integrations and checkout customizations. 3. **Application Development** – Build or improve private/custom Shopify apps using the Shopify CLI, GitHub, and related development tools. 4. **Client Interaction** – Own tickets via Notion or equivalent, conduct client meetings, and provide recommendations for technical optimizations. 5. **Documentation** – Record all code changes, deployment steps, and client communications for knowledge management. **Required Skills:** - Expertise in Shopify and Shopify Plus (back‑office, product and order management) - Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid; experience with Node.js (preferred) and PHP (preferred) - Strong command of Shopify APIs, including store‑wide and checkout integrations - Familiarity with GitHub, Shopify CLI, and modern JavaScript libraries within the Shopify ecosystem - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs and performance issues - Effective written and spoken English (technical documentation and client communication) - Experience using ticketing or project management tools such as Notion **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) - Relevant certifications (e.g., Shopify Certified Developer) are an asset but not mandatory.
