**Job title:**
Senior Infrastructure Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across data centers, networks, and cloud environments.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver end‑to‑end infrastructure solutions that align with business goals.
- Mentor and manage a team of engineers and technicians.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency and cost optimisation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, deploy, and optimise infrastructure architectures (servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud services).
- Plan capacity, monitor performance, and troubleshoot complex systems.
- Define and enforce security, backup, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and change‑management processes.
- Collaborate with application, security, and compliance teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience with enterprise Windows/Linux server administration, VMware/Hyper‑V, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN, SD‑WAN).
- Expertise in storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup/DR solutions.
- Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Hands‑on experience with configuration management and monitoring tools (Chef, Puppet, Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk).
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and project‑management skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant certifications such as MCSE, VMware Certified Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
