Job Description
**Job Title:** Freelance Video Post Supervisor – Social-First Content **Role Summary:** Lead end‑to‑end post‑production for short‑form, social‑media video across multiple platforms. Oversee and coordinate editors, VFX, sound, and color teams to deliver polished content that meets brand guidelines and technical specifications within tight deadlines. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality social‑video assets on time, within budget, and in line with brand style. - Proactively manage and mitigate production risks. - Maintain consistent workflow standards and documentation. - Communicate progress and technical details clearly to directors, stakeholders, and clients. **Key Responsibilities:** - Supervise day‑to‑day post‑production operations for multiple social projects. - Create, update, and enforce detailed production schedules and deliverable checklists. - Assign tasks and resources to editors, VFX artists, sound designers, mixers, and colorists. - Review and approve all intermediate and final output for quality, format, and compliance. - Resolve technical issues (codec, frame‑rate, file size, color‑grading errors). - Coordinate with external vendors and third‑party platforms as needed. - Maintain an archive of assets and deliverables in a searchable library. - Provide status reports and variance analysis to senior leadership. **Required Skills:** - 3+ years supervising post‑production. - Comprehensive knowledge of post‑production pipelines (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Frame.io). - Proficient with color‑grading tools and sound‑design workflows. - Strong project management: scheduling, budgeting, multi‑stage workflow oversight. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for managing creative teams and collaborating with directors and clients. - Understanding of digital distribution codecs, file‑format specifications, and platform requirements (bonus). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Film/Video Production, Media Arts, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Adobe Certified Expert (Premiere Pro/After Effects) preferred. - Certification in color grading or audio post‑production (optional).
