Job Description
Job Title: Applications Technician Role Summary: Provide consultative technical support for software applications within a precision engineering environment, collaborating with sales and engineering teams to deliver end‑to‑end customer solutions. Expectations: Deliver high‑quality support, maintain system stability, respond to service tickets promptly, contribute to product improvement, and act as a liaison between technical and customer‑facing departments. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and update applications for internal users and external clients. - Troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues across multiple platforms. - Deliver training and documentation to end‑users. - Monitor application performance and participate in incident management. - Work with sales and engineering to capture requirements and provide feedback. - Ensure compliance with company quality and security standards. Required Skills: - Strong communication and customer‑service orientation. - Problem‑solving skills for diagnosing application and environment issues. - Proficiency with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and basic scripting (PowerShell/bash). - Familiarity with Windows, Linux, database and CRM platforms. - Ability to document procedures and solutions clearly. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field OR equivalent professional experience. - Certifications preferred: CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
