Job Description
Job Title: Process Engineer Role Summary: Lead the scale‑up of production processes from pilot to commercial scale within a manufacturing environment. Own end‑to‑end process lifecycle, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency across lab, pilot, and full‑scale operations. Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, waste minimisation, and productivity enhancement while coordinating with R&D and external partners. Expactations: - 5+ years of process engineering experience in manufacturing or production. - Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering. - Proven track record in downstream processing (separation, dewatering, washing, thermal treatment) and technology transfer from pilot to commercial scale. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and independent work ethic. - Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities: - Scale‑up production processes from pilot to commercial operations. - Design, optimise, and improve production facilities for productivity, quality, and safety. - Coordinate with R&D teams and external partners to meet scale‑up targets. - Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, waste, and increase efficiency. - Monitor process performance metrics: yield, quality, productivity. - Plan and oversee lab and pilot‑scale experiments supporting commercial objectives. - Contribute to strategic planning and operational decisions for process development. Required Skills: - Process scale‑up and technology transfer. - Downstream processing (separation, dewatering, washing, thermal treatment). - Data analysis, yield optimisation, and performance monitoring. - Project management and cross‑functional collaboration. - Strong communication and documentation skills. - Self‑motivation and independent problem‑solving. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
