About the Company

Organisme étatique du ministère des Armées,
au sein du Service industriel de l'aéronautique (SIAé),
l'Atelier Industriel Aéronautique de Clermont-Ferrand (AIA CF) est un pôle d'excellence de la maintenance aéronautique militaire.

C'est un outil industriel moderne au service des Forces armées françaises pour le maintien en condition opérationnel des avions de transport, avions de chasse, avions école ou hélicoptères de l'armée de l'air et de l'armée de terre.

Fort d'une expérience de plus de 80 ans, l'AIA CF oeuvre sur trois activités complémentaires:
- la maintenance de niveau industriel de flottes militaires,
- la réalisation de modifications ou de réparations d'aéronefs,
- maintenance d'équipements aéronautiques.

L'AIA CF dispose en interne de tous les moyens et compétences permettant de couvrir la totalité du cycle de maintenance aéronautique industrielle dans l'environnement de navigabilité:
- capacités de diagnostic (radiographie, ressuage, magnétoscopie, US...)
- capacités d'étude et de conception (bureau d'études intégré)
- prérogatives d'approbation (certifications FRA 21G, FRA145, FRA 21G et EMAR145)
- capacités de fabrication ou de réparation (structures métalliques et composites, hydraulique, électricité, électronique, mécanique, traitements de surface, peinture, oxygène liquide...).

Neuf flottes, qui représentent plus de 600 aéronefs de première ligne, sont maintenues par l'AIA CF:

- Mirage 2000
- AlphaJet
- A400M (ATLAS)
- C130 (HERCULES)
- Tigre
- Puma
- Gazelle

Job Title Apprentice Engineer – Methods & Product (H/F) Role Summary Design, develop, and optimize innovative surface‑removal and machining processes for aerospace maintenance. Expactations: Deliver technical specifications, diagrams, and safety documentation that comply with industry standards, manufacturer rules, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze technical specs, current standards, and manufacturer rules (e.g., circuit segregation). - Draft specifications for acquisition or development of electrical equipment. - Define aircraft circuits and cabling (disconnect switches, watertight penetrations). - Review and interpret aircraft wiring harness drawings from the manufacturer and equipment specifications. - Prepare definition packages, including principle and interconnection schematics. - Compile justification dossiers, including consumption balances and safety/survival analyses. - Produce and maintain technical documentation. Required Skills: - Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and wiring harness design. - Ability to read and produce technical drawings and schematics. - Understanding of safety and compliance requirements in aerospace. - Strong written communication for documentation and justification. Required Education & Certifications: - Degree in Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited engineering school. - Proven academic performance in electrical systems coursework.
