Job Description
Job Title: Technical Services Manager Role Summary: Lead the Technical Services department, delivering high‑quality technical support to clients, sales, and internal stakeholders, while managing a small technical team and ensuring compliance with product and industry standards. Expectations: * Strong technical expertise in façade or aluminium systems with relevant industry experience. * Proven management and leadership skills, developing technical staff and fostering performance. * Excellent communication across all organisational levels, from shop floor to executive board. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD (2D mandatory, 3D/Revit desirable), and CRM (Salesforce). * Ability to produce accurate project documentation, technical drawings, and calculations. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the Technical Services department and manage a three‑person technical team. * Provide technical support to customers, prospects, partners, sales, and marketing teams. * Develop project‑specific technical data, drawings, schedules, and calculations. * Maintain up‑to‑date technical records and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. * Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry events to promote product relevance. * Liaise with head office and external bodies to keep system data current. * Deliver cost‑effective technical solutions while maintaining quality assurance. * Monitor departmental KPIs, report performance metrics, and conduct regular staff training and competency reviews. * Record daily activities accurately in Salesforce. Required Skills: * Technical background in façade, aluminium systems, or construction. * Leadership experience with a technical team. * Advanced MS Word, Excel, Outlook; CAD proficiency (2D mandatory). * Strong written and verbal communication. * Confidence at all organisational levels. * Experience with Reynapro, Logikal, or similar software is advantageous. Required Education & Certifications: * Relevant engineering or technical qualification (e.g., BEng, CEng, or equivalent). * CAD certification preferred; proficiency in Revit/3D modelling beneficial. * Microsoft Office certification or equivalent proficiency endorsed.
