Job Description
**Job Title:** Software Developer **Role Summary:** Develop, test, and maintain Windows-based testing software primarily using Python, while integrating with existing codebases and frameworks. Collaborate in an agile team to deliver high‑quality applications, handle production troubleshooting, and support automated functional testing of instrumentated systems. **Expectations:** - 7+ years of software test development experience - Mastery of Python; strong knowledge of C++ - Proficient with multithreading, data sharing, and APIs - Experience with CAN bus and instrument control systems - Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, GIT, and Jenkins pipelines - Bilingual (French/English or equivalent) **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Design, code, test, debug, and document software applications. 2. Modify existing applications and integrate new features into legacy systems. 3. Interpret detailed requirement documents and produce effort estimates. 4. Work within an agile development team, contributing to sprint planning and daily stand‑ups. 5. Prepare and review documentation, including specifications and test plans. 6. Conduct integration, system, and deployment testing of software solutions. 7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments. 8. Support the creation and execution of automated functional tests for instrumented systems. **Required Skills:** - Advanced programming in Python (core, libraries, and frameworks). - Proficient in C++ with experience in multithreaded application development. - Understanding of CAN bus protocol and related instrumentation. - Strong debugging and test‑automation knowledge, especially for functional testing. - Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins) and source‑control systems (GIT). - Familiarity using JIRA for issue tracking and Confluence for documentation. - Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Effective communication in two languages (French and English). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. - Professional certifications in software development or test engineering are a plus.
