Job Description

Job title: Software Engineer – Internship Role Summary: Assist senior engineers in designing and implementing Aletiq’s AI feature for product lifecycle management, focusing on structured data APIs, AI governance, and automated background tasks. Expectations: Minimum five–month placement; active participation in full development lifecycle, code reviews, and architectural discussions; autonomous ownership of assigned features. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and integrate AI access to structured data via APIs - Implement AI action controls with governance and security safeguards - Collaborate with AI and senior software engineers on architecture decisions - Contribute to design, coding, testing, and production deployment of features - Engage in code reviews, design discussions, and pair programming sessions - Monitor and improve feature performance and reliability Required Skills: - Proficiency in full‑stack development (frontend+backend) - Experience with RESTful API design and development - Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks or at least understanding of model integration (OpenAI/Mistral) - Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills - Excellent written and verbal communication in English (French preferred) - Ability to work independently and take ownership of features Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in software engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, or AI-related field.
