Job Description
Job Title: Product Analytics Engineer Role Summary: Partner with product, engineering, and design leaders to drive data‑driven decision making. Own end‑to‑end analytics—from defining metrics to instrumenting events, performing quantitative and AI‑augmented qualitative analyses, and delivering actionable recommendations that shape feature development and strategy. Expectations: - Own full analytics lifecycle and lead evidence‑based product choices. - Proactively identify and resolve data‑related issues before they surface as tickets. - Design, run, and interpret A/B tests, experiments, and rollout strategies. - Use generative AI to scale qualitative research (transcripts, feedback, NPS). Key Responsibilities: - Define success metrics for new and existing features, and drive event instrumentation in PostHog. - Build and maintain automated alerts, dashboards, and recurring analyses. - Analyze quantitative data, qualitative transcripts, and customer feedback to triangulate insights. - Deliver concise reports and clear recommendations to product leaders. - Partner with engineering to ensure data collection quality and feature performance measurement. Required Skills: - 3+ years in product analytics, analytics engineering, or data science. - Strong SQL and PostHog (or similar) event‑based analytics expertise. - Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests and statistical significance. - Proficiency with generative AI tools (LLMs) for qualitative data extraction and synthesis. - Excellent communication, storytelling, and recommendation‑driving skills. - Comfortable working independently and collaborating cross‑functionally. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or related field. - Certification in statistics, data science, or analytics engineering is a plus.
