**Job title** Marketing Communications Specialist / Writer **Role Summary** Develop, write, and coordinate internal and external marketing communications for a professional services firm. Lead content creation across multiple channels, manage media relations, support national marketing initiatives, and oversee project coordination to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality, guideline‑aligned copy on time across print, digital, and social media. - Build and maintain media contacts; pitch stories and secure interviews to raise firm visibility. - Coordinate approvals with stakeholders, ensuring consistent brand messaging. - Track, analyze, and report on communication performance and award submissions. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, business services, and legal teams. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead end‑to‑end marketing communications projects (briefing, planning, copywriting, translation, approval). - Write and edit firm‑wide content: biographies, newsletters, intranet posts, practice‑group pages, social media, and thought‑leadership pieces. - Develop and execute media‑relations strategies; monitor outlets, pitch stories, and secure media coverage. - Create media training materials and support lawyer interviews. - Draft award nominations, directory profiles, and promotional materials for national initiatives. - Maintain templates, processes, calendars, and contact lists; provide regular project and analytics reports. - Conduct competitive and market research; recommend sponsorships, advertising, and visibility opportunities. **Required Skills** - Strong written and verbal communication, editing, and proofreading. - Project coordination and multi‑tasking ability. - Knowledge of SEO best practices. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project‑tracking tools. - Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Business. - 3–5 years’ experience in corporate marketing communications (professional services or PR). - Legal marketing experience (preferred). - Fluency in French (preferred).
