Job Description
**Job Title:** Electrical /Software Engineer Intern **Role Summary:** Hands‑on internship focused on designing, developing, and testing custom electronics and embedded systems for extreme aerospace and defense environments. Intern will support schematic capture, PCB layout, firmware development, hardware bring‑up, debugging, and prototype testing while contributing to system integration and engineering documentation. **Expactations:** - Currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering. - Strong foundation in circuit theory and embedded systems. - Proficient in programming with C/C++ and/or Python. - Detail‑oriented, strong problem‑solving abilities, and willingness to learn from senior engineers. - Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist in circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout. - Develop and maintain embedded firmware (C/C++, Python). - Conduct hardware bring‑up, debugging, and prototype testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc. - Support system integration and produce clear engineering documentation. - Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical problem‑solving discussions. **Required Skills:** - PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, or equivalent). - Embedded programming (C, C++, Python). - Familiarity with microcontrollers (STM32, ARM). - Knowledge of serial and network interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet). - Basic firmware debugging and hardware troubleshooting. - Git and version‑control workflows. - Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
