WhiteOptics™ develops and manufactures the patent-pending WhiteOptics™ Reflector based on a highly reflective plastic substrate. The reflector is unique in that it has extremely high diffuse reflectance and has greater than 97% reflectance across the visible spectrum, allowing light fixtures to be designed with more efficient light output while the highly diffuse nature of reflection allows the light to be distributed evenly with a low-glare aesthetic.

Job Description
Job Title: Summer Internship – Product Management Technology Role Summary: Short‑term (10–12 weeks) internship targeting graduate students. Focus on shaping digital platform strategy, translating user/market insights into product requirements, driving agile delivery, and measuring impact. Collaboration with engineering, design, operations, and commercial teams to accelerate Acuity’s digital transformation and product innovation. Expectations: - Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in Business, Technology Management, Engineering, or related field. - Minimum GPA of 3.0. - Prior experience in product, technology, consulting, or operations roles is preferred. - Strong strategic, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Time‑management, prioritization, and stakeholder‑management abilities. - Capable of delivering results in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments. - Familiarity with Agile product development and ceremonies. - Willingness to travel 10–30% of the time. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to product strategy, long‑term roadmaps, and platform evolution. - Conduct user interviews, competitive analysis, and market assessments to validate product direction. - Build ROI‑driven business cases and impact models for initiative prioritization. - Translate business objectives into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, track sprint progress, and support incremental releases. - Align cross‑functional stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and Commercial units, removing blockers. - Define success metrics, collect data, and report on product adoption and business impact. Required Skills: - Strategic thinking & analytical reasoning - Effective written & verbal communication - Time management, prioritization, and stakeholder engagement - Adaptability in fast‑paced, ambiguous settings - Agile delivery knowledge (Scrum or similar frameworks) - Basic data analysis and reporting Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program (Business, Technology Management, Engineering, or related). - Coursework or specialization in product management, digital transformation, or technology strategy. - Minimum GPA 3.0. - Prior work experience in product management, technology, consulting, or operations is a plus.
