Job Description
**Job Title** Technical Manager **Role Summary** Lead and coordinate technical testing activities across global laboratories, ensuring accurate, on‑time results with minimal supervision. Manage laboratory operations, develop new capabilities, support future industries, and maintain accreditations while interfacing with commercial teams and clients. **Expactations** - Maintain laboratory safety and adherence to company policies. - Deliver integrated technical solutions globally. - Collaborate with internal and external resources to advance business opportunities. - Support zero defect and zero harm daily operations. **Key Responsibilities** - Provide general laboratory support, including contract review and reporting. - Drive development of new and existing testing capabilities (e.g., J1C, sub‑zero testing, nuclear, space). - Assist commercial teams and interact with customers to meet testing and certification needs. - Maintain and renew existing accreditations. - Create and execute a plan to utilize PWA approval in collaboration with commercial partners. - Support daily zero defect and zero harm initiatives. - Perform additional duties as reasonably requested. **Required Skills** - Working knowledge of laboratory safety protocols. - In-depth understanding of core engineering disciplines and testing concepts. - Advanced grasp of theories, principles, and concepts within the chosen field. - Proven leadership experience in developing integrated technical solutions. - Ability to leverage internal and external capabilities to enhance business prospects. - Strong analytical skills, including basic algebra and geometry. - Minimum of 15 years relevant experience post‑degree. - Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely and >50 lbs occasionally. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). - Minimum of 15 years of post‑degree experience. - Relevant certifications in laboratory testing, safety compliance, or industry‑specific qualifications preferred.
