Job Description
Job Title: Technical Services Manager Role Summary - Lead and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) for a food manufacturing site, ensuring alignment with BRCGS, HACCP, and relevant legislation. - Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, customer inquiries, and regulatory compliance. Expectations - Demonstrate strong technical and QA expertise in food manufacturing. - Proven experience in BRCGS audit support and QMS management. - Exhibit confident communication with customers, external bodies, and cross‑functional teams. - Apply investigation and risk‑based decision‑making skills effectively. Key Responsibilities - Maintain and continuously improve QMS, including documentation, procedures, and audit readiness. - Lead internal audit programmes, manage audit actions, and close‑out requirements. - Oversee corrective actions, deviations, non‑conforming product, and CAPA processes. - Manage customer complaints: investigation, trending, reporting. - Lead supplier approval, performance monitoring, and supplier audits. - Conduct food safety risk assessments, food fraud, and vulnerability assessments. - Perform horizon scanning for regulatory and customer updates. - Support customer technical queries, retailer portal requirements, and specification submissions. - Host and support customer audits, third‑party audits, and inspections. Required Skills - Food manufacturing QA/Technical background. - BRCGS audit experience and QMS systems knowledge. - Strong investigative, analytical, and risk‑based decision‑making abilities. - Excellent stakeholder communication and customer service skills. - Proficiency in document control, corrective action, and CAPA procedures. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related discipline. - Relevant QA certifications (e.g., BRCGS, HACCP) preferred.
