Job Description: **Job Title** Operations Manager – Waste Recycling Site (F/M) **Role Summary** Lead the day‑to‑day operations of a waste collection and recycling facility. Ensure efficient production, maintenance, and regulatory compliance while driving economic performance and continuous improvement. **Expectations** - Deliver operational excellence and profitability for the site. - Foster a safety‑first culture and uphold all environmental, health, and security regulations. - Develop and mentor a high‑performing cross‑functional team. - Demonstrate innovative problem‑solving and adapt to evolving recycling markets. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage and supervise production, maintenance, and site personnel. - Plan and coordinate the entire site workflow: incoming streams, treatment processes, and recycling streams. - Ensure strong on‑site presence and timely execution of operations. - Maintain economic targets and oversee the site P&L. - Lead maintenance of equipment, buildings and IT systems; implement preventive and regulatory maintenance. - Deploy new industrial activities, technologies and best practices. - Supervise subcontractors, procurement, schedules, and quality compliance. - Guarantee compliance with ICPE, WEEELABEX, and prefectural orders. - Liaise with DREAL to manage inspections, monitoring, and metrology. - Draft, update, and enforce QSE procedures. - Own delegated responsibilities for ionization smoke detector operations: radioprotection, ASNR/ANDRA relations, training, risk prevention. - Drive cross‑team initiatives and innovations that enhance site performance. **Required Skills** - Process engineering or industrial waste handling expertise. - Minimum 5 years of proven experience in industrial waste treatment. - Strong leadership, team‑building, and stakeholder management. - Project & resource management, including subcontractor oversight. - In‑depth knowledge of ICPE, WEEELABEX, and radiation protection regulations. - Sound QSE (Quality, Safety, Environment) capabilities. - Analytical, problem‑solving, and adaptive mindset. - Excellent communication, confidentiality, and availability. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline. - Professional certifications in QSE, Safety Management or Environmental Compliance are an advantage.
