Job Description
**Job Title:** Solutions Architect **Role Summary:** Designs and adapts technical solutions to meet functional and non‑functional requirements, modernizes application landscapes, and ensures alignment across business units in Belgium and Germany. Acts as the primary liaison among product, architecture, and delivery teams, guiding solution delivery within Agile and governance frameworks. **Expectations:** - Deliver architecture designs that comply with corporate vision, standards, and guidelines. - Independently engage stakeholders at all levels and drive results. - Operate effectively in Agile environments and adhere to governance processes (Design Boards, ADR, ATAM). - Communicate fluently in English and German; additional French/Dutch beneficial. **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze constraints, functional and non‑functional requirements; decompose business capabilities into Solution Building Blocks using reference architectures. - Create and maintain architecture models (ArchiMate, Sparx EA) and integration/application designs. - Serve as the central coordinator between product owners, architecture team, and delivery teams to ensure solution alignment and successful implementation. - Participate in delivery teams to verify that built solutions match designed architecture. - Apply Domain‑Driven Design, microservices, and event‑driven architecture principles where appropriate. - Contribute to design governance through Design Boards, ADRs, and ATAM assessments. **Required Skills:** - ≥6 years experience in solution architecture or comparable roles. - Strong knowledge of IT standards and frameworks: TOGAF, ArchiMate, ATAM, CBAM. - Proficiency with architecture modeling tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect). - Practical experience with DDD, microservices, event‑driven architectures. - Agile mindset and experience working in Agile settings. - Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills. - Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and incorporate feedback. - Fluent in English and German (both spoken and written). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Preferred certifications: TOGAF® (any level), ArchiMate® certification, Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM).
