Job Description
**Job Title** Event Business Manager **Role Summary** Responsible for driving commercial opportunities, conceiving 3‑D event booth concepts, and managing end‑to‑end projects for clients. Works closely with a design team to deliver functional designs, budgets, and client relationships across the entire event lifecycle. **Expectations** - Deliver new business leads and close projects in a highly mobile, client‑facing environment. - Maintain proficiency in project management, budgeting, and negotiation to ensure profit margins and satisfaction. - Adapt to irregular hours, including evenings and weekends during booth assembly. **Key Responsibilities** - Prospect new clients, monitor upcoming trade shows, and respond to tenders with compelling proposals. - Create and present full project concepts (design, cost, timeline) to clients; lead negotiations. - Oversee project planning: develop and update retro‑planning, identify resource needs, engage suppliers, and negotiate contracts. - Monitor daily budget performance, adjust allocations, and report profitability. - Liaise between clients and technical teams, ensuring seamless on‑site construction and client onboarding. - Track client satisfaction and contribute to retention strategies. **Required Skills** Soft Skills: - Creative thinking and commercial acumen - Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities - Resilience under pressure - Team collaboration Hard Skills: - Project management methodology and tools - Commercial negotiation & pricing strategy - Budgeting and cost control - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Events Management, or related field (preferred). - Prior experience or internship in event trade show design/management. - Driving licence (permis B). - Valid / willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
